Passengers traveling between Bihar and Odisha can look forward to improved connectivity as 24 new bus routes have been announced. These services, operating via Jharkhand, will link several important cities and offer greater convenience for commuters.
Key Routes Connecting Major Cities
The new routes will connect various cities across Bihar, Jharkhand, and Odisha. Some significant routes include Baripada to Ranchi-Hazaribagh, Brahmapur to Aurangabad via Jamshedpur-Ranchi, and Bhubaneswar to Bihar Sharif. This expansion aims to bridge geographical gaps and facilitate smoother travel.
Connecting Bihar’s Districts to Odisha
Many districts in Bihar will benefit from direct connections to major cities in Odisha. Routes such as Puri to Patna via Ranchi-Hazaribagh, Rourkela to Buxar, Rourkela to Muzaffarpur, Rourkela to Arrah, and Rourkela to Siwan are planned. Additionally, a new service from Taparia to Chhapra via Patna will be introduced.
Jharkhand as a Central Transit Hub
Jharkhand plays a crucial role in this new network, acting as a transit point for many inter-state buses. Routes like Jharsuguda to Hajipur, Jharsuguda to Patna, Jharsuguda to Siwan, and Jharsuguda to Purnia highlight the state’s strategic position in connecting the eastern regions.
