A serious incident has come to light from Punjab where an explosion occurred on a railway track near Sirhind station in Fatehgarh Sahib district. The blast took place on the night of January 23, 2026, causing panic in the area. The incident happened on the Dedicated Freight Corridor, which is used for goods trains connecting Amritsar and Delhi.

The explosion occurred near Khanpur village, roughly 4 to 5 kilometers from the Sirhind railway station. It happened around 9:50 PM when a freight train was crossing the track.
