Bollywood actor Pankaj Tripathi has reached his ancestral village Belsand in the Gopalganj district of Bihar. He arrived here primarily to perform rituals for his late mother and to spend time with his family members. The actor kept this visit private and requested simplicity during his stay in the village.

Reason behind the visit to the village
The main purpose of this trip was to attend the 3-month death anniversary rituals of his mother, Late Hemwanti Devi. She passed away on October 31, 2025, at the age of 89. Pankaj Tripathi participated in the Shanti Puja and Tarpan ceremonies held at his ancestral home. His elder brother Bijendra Tiwari and wife Mridula Tripathi were also present during these family prayers.
Participation in local events and development work
During his stay, the actor also joined the villagers in the ‘Phagun Utsav’, a traditional cultural program organized before the Holi festival. He also visited the local Higher Secondary School to check the facilities. Through the ‘Pandit Banaras Tiwari – Hemwanti Devi Foundation’, he inspected the library and reviewed the ongoing renovation work at the school which he has adopted for development.
