Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar visited Danapur today to inspect the ongoing construction work of the underground drain and six-lane road. This project covers the area from Saguna More to Rupaspur Canal. The inspection was a part of his ‘Pragati Yatra’ campaign. The Chief Minister reviewed the progress and gave necessary directions to the officials present at the site to ensure better connectivity for the people.

What instructions were given for the construction?

During the visit, CM Nitish Kumar emphasized the importance of quality in the construction work. He strictly told the officials that trees should not be harmed while building the road and drain. He also asked them to take care of facilities for pedestrians so they can walk safely.

The Chief Minister directed that all environmental protection standards must be followed during the construction. He instructed the team to complete the work within the fixed time limit. This will help in starting smooth vehicle movement quickly and give people relief from traffic jams in the western part of Patna.

Which officials were present during the inspection?

Several senior officials accompanied the Chief Minister during this visit. Water Resources and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary was present along with the Principal Secretary to the CM, Deepak Kumar. Road Construction Department Secretary Pankaj Kumar Pal also joined the team.

Other officials included the Secretary to the CM, Dr. Chandrashekhar Singh, and Patna District Magistrate Dr. Tyagrajan SM. After inspecting the Danapur site, the Chief Minister also took stock of the connectivity between Digha-AIIMS elevated path and Nehru Path, as well as the beautification work on JP Ganga Path.
