Patna Municipal Corporation has launched a new scheme for the people of the city. Now you do not need to throw your old electronic items in the garbage or sell them at cheap rates to scrap dealers. The corporation has decided to buy e-waste directly from households and offices. This initiative starts in February 2026 to ensure proper recycling of hazardous materials found in electronics.

What is the Rate List for Old Electronics?
The corporation has released a detailed price list for buying e-waste. These rates are set higher than the market price to encourage people to sell their waste to the municipal body. Awareness sessions of 45 minutes will also be conducted to inform people about the harmful effects of lead and mercury found in e-waste. This step will help improve Patna’s ranking in Swachh Survekshan 2026.
