The Railways has announced a significant update for passengers travelling from Bihar. A total of 22 trains, including three Amrit Bharat Express trains, will run on a revised schedule. The Northeast Railway released the official list on Wednesday to inform the public about these changes. The primary goal of this adjustment is to improve train operations and punctuality. Most of these trains will now depart five to ten minutes earlier than their current timing. These changes mainly affect routes originating from Darbhanga, Jaynagar, and Saharsa.

List of trains with new departure times

The changes in departure timings will come into effect from early April 2026. Passengers should note that trains will leave the station slightly earlier. Below is the list of major trains with their new timings and effective dates.

Changes in arrival timings

The railway authorities have also updated the arrival timings for 12 trains at various stations. This is done to manage platform availability and reduce waiting time for incoming trains. For instance, the Pune-Darbhanga Express (11033) will now reach Darbhanga station at 07:10. Similarly, the New Delhi-Darbhanga Clone Special (12566) is scheduled to arrive at 09:35. These adjustments are expected to help daily commuters and long-distance travellers plan their pickup and drop-off better.

Important advice for passengers

Since most of the departure times have been shifted to an earlier slot, passengers must reach the station well in advance. Missing a train due to a five-minute difference can be troublesome. It is advisable to check the status of your train on the official railway enquiry app or website before leaving home. The new schedule for most trains will start rolling out from the first week of April 2026.
