The Patna Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) has issued a major order reshuffling the police department. A total of nine police officers have been transferred to new locations. This decision aims to improve law and order across the district. The order is effective immediately and includes changes in leadership at several key police stations.

Why was the Didarganj SHO removed?

Strict action has been taken against the Station House Officer (SHO) of Didarganj, Ranvijay Kumar. The department received reports of illegal soil mining (avaidh mitti katai) in his jurisdiction. The officer failed to provide a satisfactory explanation regarding this negligence. As a result, he has been removed from his post and sent to the Police Centre in Patna. Sunil Kumar-2, who was previously handling Prosecution and Security at Flood Court, has been appointed as the new SHO of Didarganj.
