A major road accident occurred late at night on the Ghorasahan-Dhaka road in Motihari, East Champaran. A fast-moving Scorpio lost control and hit a tree near Mahadeva Masan Chowk with great force. Three people inside the vehicle died on the spot. All the victims were residents of the Rajepur police station area and were returning from a wedding ceremony when the crash happened.

The mangled remains of the vehicle were recovered to clear the Ghorasahan-Dhaka road for traffic.
