Patna Police has carried out a significant operation against the illegal liquor trade in the district. On February 13, 2026, acting on secret intelligence, the Maner Police Station team seized a massive consignment of foreign liquor. The operation took place near Heera Tola in Brahmachari village, resulting in the recovery of approximately 991 liters of illegal alcohol.

Details of the seizure and police action
The raid was conducted based on a specific tip-off about liquor smuggling in the area. SDPO Amrendra Kumar Jha confirmed that the team acted swiftly to intercept the consignment. During the search, the police found 991.07 liters of foreign liquor loaded in vehicles.
The smugglers were using a tractor and a car to transport the illegal stock. Police successfully seized both the tractor and the car during the operation. A mobile phone was also recovered from the site, which is now being used to find links to other people involved in this network.
Strict warning against liquor mafia
This action is part of the ongoing strict campaign against liquor in the Danapur sub-division. Officials stated that such operations will continue to break the supply chain in the riverine belts. The police are now working to identify the owners of the impounded vehicles and further raids are being conducted in nearby areas like Sherpur.
