The final results were officially declared on Friday, March 6, 2026. Abhishek achieved this remarkable milestone in his very first attempt and has been selected for the Indian Police Service (IPS).

Who is Abhishek Chauhan and what is his family background?

Abhishek hails from Rajajan village in the Mohiuddin Nagar block of Samastipur district. He comes from an educated family with a strong history of public service. His father, Prof. Dr. Abhay Kumar Singh, currently serves as the Registrar of Nalanda Open University, while his mother is Dr. Anuradha Rajput.

His connection to the legal fraternity is also significant. He is the grandson of Naval Kishore Singh, a Senior Advocate and former President of the Advocates’ Association at Dalsinghsarai Civil Court. Before starting his UPSC preparation in 2022, Abhishek was an M.Tech Gold Medalist, showcasing his academic dedication from an early age.
