A late-night encounter between Siwan police and bike-borne criminals at Laheji village resulted in the arrest of two wanted men. The police team, led by Basantpur SHO Raju Kumar and Sub-Inspectors Jitendra and Sanjeev Kumar, received confidential information about the presence of armed criminals in the area. When the police spotted the suspects on a motorcycle near Laheji village, the criminals opened fire with four rounds. In the exchange that followed, Rohit Kumar Sharma and Rohit Kumar Kushwaha sustained bullet injuries to their legs. They were initially taken to Siwan Sadar Hospital and later referred to PMCH Patna for advanced treatment.

The arrested individuals are linked to several high-profile robbery cases across different regions. Rohit Sharma is a primary suspect in the Hyderabad jewelry heist and was recently wanted for a similar robbery in Basantpur.
