The initiative aims to clear traffic congestion on Marine Drive while providing a permanent and organized space for local shopkeepers and customers.

What facilities will be available at the Digha Vending Zone?
The new vending zone will provide essential infrastructure such as PCC roads, proper drainage systems, and paver blocks for easy movement. To ensure the comfort of both vendors and customers, high mast lights, clean drinking water, and public toilets are being installed. A special 16-foot wide foot overbridge will also be constructed to connect the vending zone with Marine Drive and the Ganga bank area. The construction work has already started with soil filling currently in progress at the site.
