The Bihar Police have intensified their campaign against the liquor mafia in the Bagaha region by deploying advanced drone technology. Authorities conducted surveillance and raids across the Ramnagar and Bagaha areas to identify hidden manufacturing units and storage points. This operation is part of the ongoing enforcement of the state prohibition laws to curb the illegal trade of alcohol in remote locations.

Major Seizures and Arrests During the Operation

The police teams identified multiple hideouts in the riverine and forest areas that were previously difficult to monitor without aerial support. The following results were recorded during the coordinated action:

  • 142 liters of illicit chulai liquor were recovered and seized.
  • 8 liquor smugglers were arrested by the police teams during the raids.
  • 3200 kilograms of java mahua used for making liquor was destroyed on site.
  • 130 liters of prepared liquor was also destroyed at the identified spots.
  • 3 individuals were caught in Bhitaha while transporting liquor on motorcycles.

Technology and Continued Enforcement in Bagaha

The use of drones has provided a tactical advantage to the law enforcement agencies in tracking the movement of smugglers in difficult terrains. The police confirmed that technical surveillance has accelerated the pace of actions against the local liquor network. Officers stated that the campaign will continue to focus on suppliers and traders to maintain the complete prohibition policy in the district.
