दुबई : ओमान में रहने वाले भारतीय व्यक्ति की ‘दुबई ड्यूटी फ्री मिलेनियम मिलियनेयर’ ड्रॉ में 10 लाख डॉलर (6,94,27,500 ₹) की लॉटरी निकली है। खलीज टाइम्स ने खबर दी है कि रघु कृष्णामूर्ति 10 लाख डॉलर की लॉटरी जीतने वाले 143वें भारतीय बन गए हैं। उन्हें अबतक इस बारे में जानकारी नहीं है।
साल 1999 में शुरू हुई ‘दुबई ड्यूटी फ्री मिलेनियम मिलियनेयर प्रोमोशन’ पांच हजार टिकट निकालती है और एक व्यक्ति को 10 लाख डॉलर जीतने का मौका होता है। घोषणा के बाद, पिछले विजेता 40 साल के भारतीय नागरिक रतीश कुमार रवींद्रन नायर के लिए एक कार्यक्रम आयोजित किया गया था।
उनकी भी 10 लाख डॉलर की लॉटरी निकली थी। इसके अलावा दो भारतीय नागरिकों को बीएमडब्ल्यू मोटरबाइक मिली हैं।
An Oman-based Indian national was on Tuesday announced as the winner of the latest Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire draw.
Raghu Krishnamurthy, who is so far unaware of his fortune, is the 143rd Indian to have won $1 million at the draw. He held ticket no. 0891 in Series 301.
Following the draw, a presentation to the previous Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire winner took place. Ratheesh Kumar Raveendrannair, a 40-year-old Indian national based in Dubai, who won in Series 300 with ticket no. 1608, attended the presentation and witnessed the draw.
In addition, the Dubai Duty Free Finest Surprise draws were conducted after the Millennium Millionaire, with Abraham Melkunian being named as the winner of a top-of-the-range BMW 750 LI XDrive (Mineral White) in Series 1720 with ticket no. 1261. Melkunian, a 48-year-old Armenia national who runs a heavy equipment trading business both in Dubai and Sharjah, commented on his win: “For almost 20 years of participating in Dubai Duty Free Promotion, I finally got lucky. I’d like to thank Dubai Duty Free for this opportunity and for making people happy!”
In addition, two Indian nationals will be taking home stylish BMW motorbikes. Srinivas Kriram, who bought his ticket no. 0641 in Series 367, won a BMW R NineT Racer, while Mahroof Babu won a BMW R Ninet Urban/GS in Series 368 with ticket number 0891.
