2023 Hyundai i20 Facelift to Get Exterior and Interior Updates Along with New Features

Hyundai recently launched the Alcazar SUV in the Indian market and it has received positive response from customers. Now, Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) is planning to introduce the facelifted i20 in the domestic market. The teaser for the updated premium hatchback has been released, revealing almost every change that can be expected in the front portion.

The country’s second largest carmaker has also stated that it is coming soon, which means that its launch in the market will take place this month. Hyundai unveiled the updated i20 for Europe in May 2023 and the testing model of the updated i20 was seen during testing in India in June.

Compared to the current model, the Euro-spec i20 gets a similar sleek hexagonal grille section in the front. However, the black grille insert, as seen in the teaser, is not as aggressive. The headlamp cluster looks slightly sharper this time and the integrated LED day-time running lights in the shape of a boomerang add freshness.

The Hyundai logo has been moved to the bonnet now and has become sharper with the presence of elements like the bumper lip spoiler, while the new fog lamp housing resembling a shark fin is similar to the unit found in its European counterpart. The lower air intake also receives a new design. We can expect new design alloy wheels and some minor changes in the rear as well.

• The current 1.2-liter NA petrol and 1.0-liter turbo petrol engines are expected to be carried forward.
