Simple Energy Announces Upcoming Electric Scooter
Simple Energy, an Indian electric vehicle start-up, has announced its plans to expand its lineup. The company has announced the launch of a new and affordable electric scooter on December 15. Simple Energy is planning to launch a new electric scooter under the name ‘Simple Dot One’. The new scooter will be positioned under the company’s existing electric scooter, Simple One. In August 2023, the Bangalore-based EV start-up had filed two trademarks in India.
Simple Dot One Built on Simple One Platform
The company is building its new electric scooter, Simple Dot One, on the Simple One platform. The new electric scooter could be launched in the Indian electric two-wheeler market at an ex-showroom price of INR 1 lakh. However, the exact price will be announced by the company at the time of the launch.
Specifications of Simple Dot One Electric Scooter
As of now, the company has not revealed the specifications for the new electric scooter, Simple Dot One. However, according to several media reports, the Dot One electric scooter will come with a fixed 3.7 kWh battery pack that will be paired with a powerful electric motor. The company claims that the scooter will have an IDC range of 160 km and a certified range of 151 km on a single charge.
Features of Simple Dot One Electric Scooter
The Simple Dot One electric scooter will have different tires than regular ones in order to increase its efficiency. The company has also provided more than 30 litres of under-seat storage for carrying more goods. It will also come with a touchscreen instrument cluster for a better riding experience.
