Benelli Launches Tornado 400
Benelli, a premium bike manufacturer, has launched its new middleweight supersport bike, the Benelli Tornado 400. The bike was unveiled in the final version of EICMA in November. It will soon be available for sale in European markets, with the price expected to be announced at the same time.
Design and Features of Benelli Tornado 400
The Benelli Tornado 400 is similar to other models in the Tornado lineup, featuring a lean, angular, and semi-faired design. It has vertical twin-pod LED headlights on the front apron, giving the bike an aggressive look. The bike features full-LED lighting and the company also offers a 5-inch full-color TFT display. The bike is equipped with Bluetooth connectivity for call and text alerts, navigation through a smartphone app, a tire pressure monitoring system, and a USB charging port.
Construction and Braking System of Benelli Tornado 400
Benelli has built its bike on a tubular steel frame. It has 37mm upside-down front forks and a rear monoshock. For braking, it has a 300mm twin disc brake on the front wheel and a 240mm single disc brake on the rear. The bike comes with a dual-channel ABS.
Powerful Engine of Benelli Tornado 400
The Benelli Tornado 400 is powered by a 399cc liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine. It is capable of producing a maximum power of 47.6 BHP and a peak torque of 38 NM. The company has provided a six-speed gearbox with a torque-assisted, slipper clutch for better performance. The bike will compete with other bikes in the market such as the Yamaha R3, KTM RC 390, and Kawasaki Ninja 400.
