Tata Motors, with its dominance in India’s electric car segment, has launched several of its electric vehicles in the country. To further strengthen its electric segment, the automaker plans to launch new electric vehicles. Despite having launched multiple electric cars in India, Tata Motors plans to introduce more new electric vehicles. The company’s currently available electric vehicles have received positive responses from customers. Tata Motors might also introduce an electric version in their Sumo SUV car. The new Sumo Electric Vehicle (EV) could possibly be launched by Tata Motors by 2024.
Potential Specifications of Tata Sumo EV
The Tata Sumo EV is likely to feature a 50kWh lithium-ion battery pack. It may also be equipped with a robust electric motor capable of producing 130 bhp power and 260 Nm torque. The car could also include a kW fast charger. In addition to the powerful battery pack, Tata Motors has also integrated in their Nexon EV car. The Nexon EV facelift SUV car has the capability of covering a range of 465 km. It is plausible that the Sumo electric car will also have a similar battery pack, giving the car a range comparable to the Nexon EV car.
