Upcoming Car Launches in India in September
- Honda Elevate: Honda is set to launch its mid-size SUV Elevate on September 4. It will come with a spacious interior, comfortable cabin, and several luxury features. It will be equipped with a 1.5-liter, four-cylinder, NA petrol engine with an output of 121hp/145Nm, paired with a 6-speed manual or 7-step CVT gearbox.
- Volvo C40 Recharge: Based on the XC40 Recharge, the C40 Recharge has been given a new design. It will have an output of 408hp and 660Nm and come with a 78 kWh battery pack. The range has been increased from 418 km to 530 km (WLTP cycle) due to better aerodynamics. The car will be assembled locally.
- BMW 2 Series M Performance Edition: This special edition of the 2 Series will be available with a completely blacked-out grille, bumper, and wing mirror with silver accents. It will also feature M Performance grille, gear selector lever, and other M-specific elements. It will be powered by a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine generating 179hp and 280Nm, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
- Tata Nexon, Nexon EV Facelift: The facelifted Nexon will come with significant changes in its interior and exterior. It will feature curves and styling inspired by the Tata Harrier EV. It will come with a large screen, touch-based climate control, and a full-digital instrument cluster. The current 1.2-liter petrol and 1.5-liter diesel engines will continue to be offered with manual and AMT gearboxes. The EV model will also be updated.
- Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV: The EQE SUV will be Mercedes’ third EV in India and will be based on the company’s EVA platform. It is available in multiple configurations worldwide, all featuring a 90.6 kWh battery pack. It offers 170kW DC fast charging and a range of up to 590 km (WLTP cycle).
- Lexus LM: This is Lexus’ first MPV offering in India, based on Toyota’s GA-K modular platform. The LM is over 5 meters long and comes with a luxurious interior, available in four★and seven-seat configurations. The four-seater model features airline-style recliner seats, a 48-inch TV, a 23-speaker surround sound audio system, and other amenities. It will be powered by a 2.5-liter, four-cylinder self-charging hybrid powertrain generating 250hp and 239Nm.
- Mahindra Bolero Neo+: Mahindra is expected to launch the Bolero Neo+ at the end of this month. It is a completely facelifted TUV300+ with updated styling and more features. With the introduction of the Bolero Neo+, it will become the third SUV in the Bolero lineup, alongside the original Bolero and Bolero Neo compact SUV. It is expected to come in 7-seater and 9-seater models and will be powered by a 2.2-liter diesel engine.
