- Hero MotoCorp has reported bumper sales for the month of August 2023. The company sold a total of 488,717 units in August 2023, which is significantly higher than the 462,608 units sold during the same period last year (August 2022).
- The sales of motorcycles in August 2023 reached 452,186 units, a 4.96% increase compared to the 430,799 units sold in August 2022. Hero MotoCorp’s top-selling bike remained the Splendor, which contributed to nearly 90% of the domestic sales.
- The scooter sales also saw a growth of 14.84% with 36,531 units sold in August 2023, compared to 31,809 units sold in the same period last year.
- In terms of year-to-date performance, Hero MotoCorp has shown strong sales despite some challenges. The motorcycle sales for the current financial year (FY24 YTD) stand at 2,075,418 units, a marginal decrease of 3.84% compared to the previous financial year (FY23) which recorded sales of 2,158,381 units. However, scooter sales witnessed a significant growth of 12.27%, with 157,183 units sold in FY24 YTD, compared to 140,000 units in FY23.
