Hyundai Motor India Limited to Update Popular Cars in the Near Future
Hyundai Motor India Limited has announced plans to invest $2.45 billion in new projects over the next 10 years. The company has signed an agreement with the Government of Tamil Nadu to support this initiative. As part of their plans, Hyundai is set to update their best-selling models, including the Creta midsize SUV, i20 premium hatchback, and Venue subcompact SUV.
1. 2024 Hyundai Creta Facelift
The 2024 Hyundai Creta facelift will undergo major design and feature updates. It will come equipped with ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) that offer various automatic functionalities such as lane keep assist, rear cross traffic collision, blind spot detection, front collision warning, and cruise control. The facelifted Creta will also feature an advanced infotainment system, HD digital instrument cluster, 360-degree camera, advanced BlueLink connectivity, and a redesigned dashboard. Additionally, it will be powered by a new 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine producing 160 bhp power.
2. Hyundai i20 Facelift
The facelifted Hyundai i20, which was unveiled for the European market in May 2023, will soon be launched in India. While the exact timeline has not been revealed, it is expected to hit the roads by the end of this year or early 2024. The i20 facelift will feature minor changes to its exterior and interior. This includes a new grille, revised front bumper, new headlamps with slightly repositioned LED DRLs, and new taillamps with Z-shaped LED inserts. The interior is likely to offer a new theme and upholstery, dashcam, ambient lighting, ventilated front seats, and 6 airbags as standard. The engine setup is expected to remain unchanged.
3. New Generation Hyundai Venue
The second generation of the Hyundai Venue subcompact SUV is set to be launched in 2025. This model will be the first to roll out from Hyundai’s new Talegaon plant in Maharashtra. The 2025 Hyundai Venue, internally known as Project Q2xi, will feature extensive design changes and advanced features.
