The Land Cruiser Mini

The Land Cruiser Mini, a new mini off-roader SUV based on the Land Cruiser 250 CTJ, is ready for its debut. It is set to be launched in global markets such as the United States and Japan and is geared up to be a significant player in the off-road segment. In India, it will compete with vehicles like the Mahindra Thar and Maruti Suzuki Jimny.

Land Cruiser Mini Design and Looks

The design of the Land Cruiser Mini resembles a compact cruiser SUV with almost flat roofs and high pillars. It is expected to be longer than the five-door Jimny. With a body-on-frame chassis, the vehicle’s length is expected to be 4,350 mm, width 1,880 mm, and height 1,880 mm. The concept design, featuring round LED headlights and an extra wheel on the tailgate, exudes a robust appeal that is likely to attract customers at first glance.

Powerful engine of Land Cruiser Mini

The Land Cruiser Mini, internally known as the “Jimny killer,” could debut at the Tokyo Motor Show next month. Rumors suggest its powertrain lineup will include various options such as a 2.0L petrol engine from the Corolla Cross, a 2.5L petrol/hybrid mill from the RAV, and even a 2.8L turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engine found in the Prado and Hilux.

Future Plans

There is also speculation that the Land Cruiser Mini might offer an electric drivetrain for the upcoming fourth-generation Tacoma pickup truck in the near future.
