Kia Sonet Facelift: Upcoming Changes and Features
Introduction
Kia India has started updating its lineup in India, and after updating the Seltos, the company is now working on its new version of the Sonet SUV, called the Sonet Facelift 2024. The production model of the Kia Sonet Facelift was recently spotted during testing. The heavily camouflaged Sonet was completely covered, but now more details have emerged.
Exterior Changes
The spotted testing model of the Kia Sonet Facelift features integrated LED daytime running lights in the front, which are fast three-level LED headlamps. The redesigned grille section now includes black chrome updates, and you can also expect more muscular bonnet, newly designed 16-inch alloy wheels, and updated character lines, C-shaped LED tail lamps, a light connected to the bar, and updated bumpers.
Interior Changes and Features
The upcoming Sonet Facelift 2024 is expected to have two-tone black and brown seat upholstery, along with vertical AC vents and updated trims surrounding the gear lever. However, most of the features are expected to remain the same. It will come with a multifunctional flat-bottom steering wheel, a large touchscreen infotainment system, a fully digital instrument cluster, front parking sensors, a 360-degree camera system, wireless charger, six airbags, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, connectivity, air purifier, and automatic climate control.
Expected Safety Features
It is expected that the new Sonet will offer ADAS-based driver-assistance and safety features. Its sibling, the Hyundai Venue, already offers level 1 ADAS-enabled features such as front collision alert and avoidance assist, lane keep assist, lane departure alert, driver attention warning, lane following, and high beam assist.
Engine Options
The 2024 Kia Sonet is likely to be available with a 1.0L three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, a 1.2L NA petrol engine, and a 1.5L four-cylinder diesel engine. It will have options for a five-speed MT, six-speed MT, and seven-speed DCT transmissions.
