Maruti Suzuki’s New Swift Model
Maruti Suzuki, India’s top car manufacturing company, has introduced several new cars to the Indian auto market. These latest offerings have been well-received by customers. The company is set to unveil a new generation model of its popular Swift car in 2024. This car has been spotted several times during testing and was also presented at the Tokyo Auto Show in Japan.
Major Changes in the New Swift
The new Swift car will undergo significant changes. Most notably, there is a possibility of a new hybrid engine option. The details and mileage of the car’s hybrid engine have been revealed. The 2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift engine might replace the current 1.2-litre petrol engine with a new 1.2-litre petrol hybrid engine. The new Swift car will be introduced with a 12V mild hybrid powertrain.
Engine and Mileage of the New Swift
The new Swift will feature a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine coupled with either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed CVT transmission. The CVT unit will be mated with the hatchback’s mild-hybrid variant gearbox. The engine will be capable of generating 80 bhp power and 108 Nm peak torque. The petrol model of the new Swift car is expected to give a mileage of 23.4 Kmpl, while the hybrid engine Swift is expected to deliver 24.5 Kmpl.
New Generation Swift Design
Changes have been made to the car’s design to give the new Swift car an even more attractive sporty look. The car will feature new LED tail lamps and headlamps. The new generation Swift will also include a new infotainment system and a new instrument cluster. The current ex-showroom price of the base model of Swift car in the Indian auto market is Rs. 5.99 lakh, while the top model is priced at Rs. 9.03 lakh. The price of the new Swift car is likely to be slightly higher than the current price.
