Tata Motors Unveils Tata Punch EV
If you’re planning to buy a new car these days, here’s some good news. Tata Motors recently launched their Tata Punch EV. The company claims the car will be able to travel between 300 to 400 kilometers on a full charge. Booking for the Tata Punch EV began on January 5, and it will be launched in Indian markets on January 17.
Price and Competitors
The ex-showroom price of the car will be around 10 to 13 lakh rupees, positioning it between Nexon EV and Tiago EV. You can book the Tata Punch EV by paying a token amount of 21,000 rupees. The Punch EV will compete with other companies in the market. The company has launched the Tata Punch EV in two variants; standard and long range.
Battery and Design
The standard variant is expected to have a 25 KWH battery backup, while the long range variant will likely have a 35 KWH battery backup. The front of the car features a full-width LED light bar and a split headlamp setup, similar to the Nexon EV.
Safety Features
The Punch EV is the company’s first vehicle to feature a front charging socket. It also has a newly designed bumper. The car comes with features such as a 360-degree camera, leatherette seats, electronic parking brake with auto hold, connected car technology, a wireless charger, ventilated front seats, cruise control, and a new EV app suite. Safety features include six airbags, ABS, and ESC in all variants.
