As the world progresses, new technologies are emerging along with it. In the past few years, the automotive sector in India has seen significant changes, with the electric vehicle segment experiencing considerable growth. However, besides electric vehicles, India is witnessing the emergence of several new technologies. In the coming days, Bajaj will launch its first CNG bike in India. Similarly, a company has unveiled India’s first solar car.

Details:
Pune-based electric vehicle start-up company Vayve Mobility unveiled India’s first solar-powered car at “Auto Expo 2023,” named ‘EVA-EVA.’ This new technological car is not only excellent for the environment but also an important step for the Indian automotive industry.

The car runs on solar energy, which is a unique feature in the Indian market. The two-seater car can comfortably accommodate two adults and a child. The company has equipped the vehicle with a 14 kWh battery pack, which charges through 150W solar panels installed on the car’s roof. The battery is also chargeable through a regular household socket. The company claims that after a full charge, the car can travel up to 250 kilometers. The 150W panel generates a range of 10 to 12 kilometers daily. The car takes four hours to charge fully via a regular household charger.

Launch:
According to the company, the ‘EVA-EVA’ car will launch in 2024, and deliveries will begin in mid-2024. The company has not yet disclosed the car’s price and other features.

Conclusion:
The EVA-EVA solar car is a significant development in the Indian automotive sector and a crucial step towards a sustainable future. The car’s unique energy source and eco-friendly features have the potential to revolutionize the Indian market, where electric and hybrid cars are still gaining momentum.
