Introduction

Technology has evolved significantly over time, especially in the automotive industry. While earlier we used to see technology-based cars and bikes in the market, now there are many modern techniques being used by automobile manufacturers to create vehicles. However, there were some technologies that were better than what we have today. In this report, we will discuss one such technology.

Royal Enfield and its Diesel Bike

Royal Enfield is a popular bike manufacturer known for its cruiser bikes. The company has recently launched its new bikes based on modern technology and is also preparing to launch several other bikes. However, did you know that this company was the first to introduce a diesel engine bike in the Indian market?

The Diesel Bullet Torus

Previously, diesel engine bikes used to run on the roads. In such a scenario, Royal Enfield launched its diesel-powered bike, called the Diesel Bullet Torus, which became quite popular in a short span of time. The company used special technology in its manufacturing. However, its production had to be stopped later.

Response on Social Media

On the social media platform Koo, a user asked why no diesel bikes are being made today. In response, a user named ARV Pandit mentioned that Royal Enfield had introduced the country’s first diesel bike in the 80s. The bike was named Diesel Bullet Torus.

At that time, this bike provided such good mileage that its demand increased rapidly. It used to provide a mileage of around 80-90 km per liter, similar to today’s Hero Splendor. The user also provided some additional information, but we cannot verify its accuracy.

However, it is worth mentioning that Royal Enfield Bullet Torus, a company in India, launched a diesel bike that could cover a distance of approximately 85 kilometers on one liter of diesel. However, it was later discontinued.
