Tata Motors Introduces Automatic Transmission in Tiago CNG and Tigor CNG
Tata Motors has introduced automatic transmission in its Tiago CNG and Tigor CNG models. The Tiago CNG comes with automatic gearbox in its XTA, XZA+, XZA+ Dual Tone, and XZA NRG variants. As for the Tigor CNG, the automatic transmission is available in the XZA and XZA+ options.
First-of-its-Kind Vehicles in India
The Tiago Automatic CNG and Tigor Automatic CNG are the first vehicles in India to have both a CNG fuel option and an automatic gearbox. The latest Tiago CNG AMT features a blue color scheme, while the Tigor CNG AMT has been included in a bronze color scheme. Besides this, no additional improvements have been made in the cars.
Engine and Mileage Details
Both vehicles are equipped with Tata’s 1.2-liter, three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine and a twin-cylinder CNG technology that can give a mileage of 28.06 km/gas. Both the Tigor and Tiago have the same engine and feature a five-speed automatic gearbox.
Pricing Details
The starting price of the Tiago CNG Automatic is Rs. 7.90 lakh, while the Tigor Automatic CNG starts at Rs. 8.85 lakh. These prices are ex-showroom in Delhi. The manual CNG models of both cars are priced between Rs. 55,000 and Rs. 60,000.
