The Tata Nexon secured the fourth position with the sale of 14,916 units, followed by Maruti Swift with 15,311 units. Tata Punch also performed well in January, securing the fifth position with the sale of 14,383 units. Maruti Brezza compact SUV achieved the sixth position in the sales list with the sale of 13,393 units.
Top Selling Cars in January
WagonR reclaimed the title of the most sold car in January. The Nexon compact SUV was the highest selling car in the country in December 2023. Tata Nexon has been the highest selling SUV this year. In the list of top 10 selling cars, WagonR is at the top with 16,567 units sold, followed by Dzire with 15,965 units sold.
Performance of Other Cars
In January 2024, 12,961 people bought Maruti Baleno, which is the largest car so far. Baleno sold 10,669 units in December 2023. On the other hand, Artiga 7-seater attracted 12,857 customers. Talking about Creta, it remained at the bottom of the top 10 cars sales list with 11,814 sales. The sales of Scorpio were slightly better at 11,355 in December.

There are 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual, 6-speed AMT, and a new 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT) transmission options. Diesel engine is available with 6-speed manual and 6-speed AMT.

The ex-showroom price of Tata Nexon facelift starts from INR 8.10 lakh. The ex-showroom price of the top variant is INR 15.50 lakh. The company is selling it in seven colors (Smart, Pure, Creative and Fearless). Nexon directly competes with Honda Elevet, Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, and Maruti Brezza.
