Tata’s Electric Car: 465 km Range, 1 Hour Charge, Price & Features

• Tata Motors will launch the facelift model of its most popular SUV, Nexon, on September 14. The company will launch facelift models of both Nexon and Nexon EV on this day. The Nexon EV will see significant changes in its design.
• The bookings for the Nexon EV have already started, with customers being able to book it by paying a token amount of Rs 21,000. The Nexon EV is a leader in its segment. Its new TVC ad has also been released, revealing its features.
• The exterior of the Nexon EV facelift will feature sharp paneling on all sides. It has refreshed the front fascia with new headlights, LED DRLs, and bumper. The SUV has a full-width LED strip in the front, with sequential turn indicators on both sides. The side profile features an elevated beltline and coupe-like profile. It comes with sporty air inserts and R16 alloy wheels. The rear side has X-factor tail lights, spoiler-mounted hidden rear wiper, and fang-style reflectors.
• The interior of this electric SUV features a spoke backlit steering wheel, touch control, smart digital shifter with easy grip, and voice-assisted sunroof. It has introduced new standard trims with creative, fearless, and empowered options. The top-spec variant includes a cinematic 12.30-inch touchscreen infotainment system. It comes with an app suite that allows users to access their favorite music, video, and gaming apps.
• The Nexon EV comes with several features including power band for charging and lighting equipment, vehicle-to-vehicle charging, JBL cinematic sound system, digital cockpit, embedded maps, wireless charger, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, air purifier, electronic parking brake, auto dimming IRVM, and OTA updates.
• For safety, it has in-cabin emergency assist button, 360-degree surround view camera, blind-spot view monitor, ESP with iVBAC, 6 airbags, hill ascent control, hill descent control, auto hold, front parking sensors, and all-disc brakes.
• The Nexon EV is available in two variants ★Medium Range (MR) with a 30-kWh battery pack and Long Range (LR) with a 40.5 kWh battery pack. The power output is 129 PS for MR and 145 PS for LR, with both having a torque output of 215 Nm. The battery pack comes with an IP67 rating.
• According to MIDC cycle, the MR variant will offer a range of 325 km on a single charge and the LR variant will offer a range of 465 km on a single charge. It comes with home charging options including a 7.2kW AC home wallbox charger and a standard AC home wallbox charger. It also includes a 15A portable charger and a DC fast charger. With the fast charger, it can be charged from 10% to 100% in just 56 minutes.
