Dengue is a mosquito-borne viral infection that causes flu-like symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, joint and muscle pain, and rash. It can also lead to severe complications such as dengue hemorrhagic fever and dengue shock syndrome, which can be life-threatening.
The authorities are taking necessary measures to control the spread of dengue in the city. They have intensified mosquito control activities, including fogging and spraying insecticides in affected areas. Public awareness campaigns are also being conducted to educate people about the preventive measures they can take to avoid dengue.
It is important for individuals to protect themselves from mosquito bites by using mosquito repellents, wearing long-sleeved clothing, and keeping their surroundings clean and free from stagnant water. Early detection and timely treatment can help in preventing complications and reducing the impact of dengue on individuals and the community.
