Success Story: Jaya Kishor Pradhan
Jaya Kishor Pradhan, a retired bank employee, passed the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) at the age of 64. Despite being retired, he successfully cleared the NEET exam, which is considered the gateway to becoming a doctor in India. He is currently studying MBBS at the Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research in Burla, Odisha.
Dreams Never Die: Transition from Banking to Medicine
After retiring from the bank in 2016, Pradhan decided to pursue his dream of becoming a doctor. He started preparing for the NEET exam and successfully passed it. His ultimate goal is to provide free medical treatment to the underprivileged, especially those with physical disabilities. With the Supreme Court’s decision to allow candidates over 25 years to sit for NEET, Pradhan received admission to VIMSAR, fulfilling his dream of a career in medicine.
