Agriculture Development in Bihar
Under the Chief Minister Horticulture Mission and Horticulture Development Program, plans have been made for agricultural development. The cultivation of dragon fruit, strawberries, marigold, and figs has been included in the Bhagalpur district to promote. The agriculture department has approved not only the implementation of the plan but also the amount of grant to be spent. Farmers registered on the DBT portal can apply on http://horticulture.bihar.gov.in and will be given benefits on a first-come-first-served basis.
Dragon Fruit Cultivation
Dragon fruit cultivation will be carried out in the district in an area of eight hectares. The financial target for this is Rs. 14.40 lakh in the year 2024-25. The provision of planting material will be done by the farmers themselves. Assistance grant of 40% of the unit cost will be given in three installments.
Strawberry Cultivation
Under the Strawberry Development Plan, the cultivation area will be expanded to three hectares in the district. Packaging materials such as 37,500 crates and three lakh small plastic boxes will be distributed. This will incur a cost of Rs. 14.73 lakh. Farmers cultivating up to two hectares will benefit from the agriculture department.
Marigold Cultivation
The state plan for marigold cultivation aims to promote cultivation in one hectare in the district. Approval has been received to spend three lakh rupees for this. The plan aims to increase farmers’ livelihoods by increasing flower production and related products, thereby increasing their income. An assistance of Rs. 40,000 per hectare will be provided.
बिहार के खेती विकास के लिए मुख्यमंत्री बागवानी मिशन और बागवानी विकास कार्यक्रम तहत बढ़ती खेती की योजनाएं बनाई गई हैं। इसके तहत भागलपुर जिले में ड्रैगन फ्रूट, स्ट्रॉबेरी, गेंदा फूल और अंजीर फल की खेती को बढ़ावा देने की योजना है। योजना के अंतर्गत विभाग ने किसानों को वित्तीय सहायता और उपकरणों की व्यवस्था की है। इससे किसानों की आजीविका में सुधार होगा और उनकी आय में वृद्धि होगी।
