AICTE Announcement on International Women’s Day
All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) announced a scholarship for female students on the occasion of International Women’s Day. Under this scheme, female students pursuing BBA, BCA, and MBA courses will be provided a scholarship of Rs 25,000 by AICTE. This scholarship scheme will provide financial assistance of Rs 7.5 crore to 3000 female students from economically weaker backgrounds, with each student receiving Rs 25,000.
New Courses under AICTE
While announcing the scheme, AICTE Chairman Professor T.G. Sitharam stated that AICTE strives to empower women and fully unleash their potential in technical and management education. We have a scheme named ‘Progress in Name’ for female engineering students. Since BBA, BCA, and MBA undergraduate management courses also fall under AICTE, they are planning to launch a special scheme to promote gender equality.
