गौरव सिंह/भोजपुर: In today’s world, people often ignore or abandon their familiar or family members while they are still alive. However, there is one person who is setting an example of humanity. Amardeep Kumar, in Ara, takes care of abandoned, injured individuals and provides them with medical treatment. He also performs the last rites for unclaimed bodies.
Amardeep Kumar has taken the responsibility to treat and care for all the abandoned, mentally disturbed, and beggar-like individuals. If a beggar gets injured, meets with an accident, or has worms in their body, Amardeep takes care of their treatment. Similarly, if an unknown individual passes away and there is no one to perform the last rites, Amardeep himself takes the body to the cremation ground and performs the rituals.
Since 2018, Amardeep Kumar has treated more than 1000 patients through this service. He has also reunited more than 250 patients with their families. In 2023, he started performing the last rites for unknown bodies and has already performed the final rites for 70 such bodies.
Amardeep started by providing meals to beggars at the Amardeep Station a few years ago. During this time, he came across a mentally ill woman who was unable to eat even after being provided with food. When Amardeep learned about her condition, he took her to a regular hospital for treatment. After her recovery, he admitted her to a mental health facility. This incident inspired Amardeep to start providing medical treatment to other abandoned individuals.
Since then, Amardeep has treated over a thousand patients who were in critical condition at the Amardeep station, bus stand, and on the streets. He has also formed a team called “Team Mother Teresa” to serve the patients. Providing food and clothing to the homeless is still a part of his daily routine.
Amardeep and his team also perform the last rites for unclaimed bodies that end up in the hospital. After witnessing the pitiful condition of unclaimed bodies in the hospital, Amardeep and his team take on the responsibility of performing their final rituals. He mentioned that on March 24th, an unknown Muslim youth’s last rites were performed in the Shivganj cemetery during Ramadan. Many Hindus also supported this cause.
Under Amardeep’s supervision, 70 unknown bodies have been given their final rites. While there is ample support from the compassionate members of society for the care of abandoned patients and performing the last rites for unknown bodies, there are also some people who continue to criticize and discourage them.
गौरव सिंह या भोजपुर नामक एक शख्स ऐसा व्यक्ति हैं जो लावारिस और जख्मी लोगों का इलाज करवाते हैं और उनके अंतिम संस्कार भी करते हैं। उन्होंने अब तक 1000 से अधिक लावारिस मरीजों को इलाज करवाया है और 250 से अधिक लावारिस मरीजों को उनके परिजनों से मिलवाया है। साथ ही वर्ष 2023 में उन्होंने 70 अज्ञात शवों का अंतिम संस्कार भी कर दिया है। उन्होंने अपनी सेवा शुरू की थी भोजन कराकर और अब वह अज्ञात शवों का अंतिम संस्कार भी करवा रहे हैं। इसके अलावा उन्होंने एक टीम मदर टेरेसा का गठन किया है जो बेसहारा लोगों के बीच भोजन और कपड़े उपलब्ध कराती है। उनकी सेवा में समाज के सुधी जन तो सहयोग देते हैं, लेकिन कुछ लोगों ने उन्हें ताने दिए हैं।
