The Indian Army’s Army College of Nursing is affiliated with Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot (Punjab) and offers an eight-semester (four-year) B.Sc (Nursing) degree course. The college was established to cater to the female wards of the army personnel. Each ward of the Indian Navy (IN) and Indian Air Force (IAF) has a reserved seat at the college. It operates under the Army Welfare Education Society (AWES), which manages 137 Army Public Schools and 12 professional colleges.
Admission Criteria and Selection Process
Candidates seeking admission to the Army College of Nursing must have a minimum of 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in class 12 from a recognized board or institution. Seats are reserved for daughters of Indian Army/Indian Air Force/Indian Navy personnel. The selection of candidates will be done through a joint online entrance exam (OAT) conducted by the Army College of Nursing, Jalandhar Cantt on June 30, 2024, for all selected centers across the country, including ACN and Army Institute of Nursing, Guwahati. Admission to the college is only possible after passing this exam.
