The Jehanabad police in Bihar have arrested an army jawan for the murder of his wife. The incident took place in the Kakot Thana area, where the jawan, identified as Kumar Gaurav, a resident of Hulasganj Thana, was apprehended by the police. The murder had taken place a few days prior near the Kadrua Bridge in Kakot Thana.

The story of Richa Kumar and accused jawan Gaurav is reminiscent of a movie plot. According to relatives, Gaurav forcibly married Richa in 2022, only to join the army shortly after. Discontent with his marriage, Gaurav remarried in December 2023 after Richa filed complaints against him with the court and army officials. The murder on the roadside was a result of this tumultuous relationship.
