The arrest of a notorious history-sheeter shooter involved in illegal mining dominance and the murder of two individuals in a shootout in Kamal Chak Diara area of Koilwar police station in Bhojpur district, under the leadership of SDPO-2, has been made by the police. The shooter, identified as Saroj Rai, the main shooter of the Guddu Rai gang, was apprehended near the bridge of Bindgaonwa village in Baddhara police station area. Saroj Rai, a resident of Kutubpur Chakiya village in Doriganj police station area of Saran district, has been linked to several criminal cases in Patna and Bhojpur districts.
The firing incident at Balu Ghat resulted in the deaths of two individuals. The police received information about the whereabouts of the criminal, Saroj Rai, who was hiding near the bridge in Bindgaonwa village, awaiting an opportunity to carry out a major incident. After verifying the information, a team led by SDPO-2 formed a perimeter near the bridge in Bindgaonwa village and apprehended the main shooter. The deceased individuals were residents of Chakiya village in Doriganj police station area of Saran district.
