Police have arrested three individuals, including the acting principal of a school in Jamui, Bihar, for forcefully stopping vehicles on the road and extorting money from them. The incident took place in the Dulampur area under Chakai police station. The arrested individuals have been identified as Mo. Safjal, Mintu Jarra, and Mo. Arshad Azaad, all residents of Dulampur.
According to sources, the Chakai police received confidential information about Mo. Arshad Azaad, who is the acting principal of the Utkarmit Madhya Vidyalaya in Dulampur, Chakai block. He, along with his three companions, had been illegally extorting money by forcefully stopping vehicles and setting up a barricade on the road near his home for several months. The police had been receiving continuous information about this. Acting on the information, the police raided the spot and apprehended the three individuals. After filing an FIR and conducting an investigation, the police have placed them under judicial custody.
Meanwhile, SI SN Singh of Chakai police station stated that the three arrested individuals were extorting money from vehicle drivers forcefully and even resorting to physical violence if they refused to pay. Acting on the confidential information, the raiding team, led by officer Akhilesh Prasad Singh, arrested the three individuals with the help of the police force.
Local residents are expressing their concern over the incident, stating that not only criminals but even teachers have started engaging in criminal activities. If teachers themselves start extorting money in this manner, what kind of education will they provide to the children? The education department needs to take immediate action against such teachers.
