Attack on Excise Department Team
In the Puranakama village of the Sheikhpura Nagar Parishad area, a team from the Excise Department was attacked while conducting a raid against liquor smuggling. The team was suddenly assaulted by the bootleggers and drinkers, resulting in severe injuries to four police officers, including the ASI.
Injuries and Arrests
During the attack, ASI Anil Kumar Singh suffered severe head injuries. The injured were taken to the Sadar Hospital for treatment. The police team managed to arrest the liquor smuggler, including residents of Puranakama village Gautam Manjhi, Babloo Manjhi, and Kailu Manjhi. Two others are currently in custody for questioning.
Raid and Escape
The Excise Department officials received information about large-scale liquor smuggling in a specific area of the village. A raid team was sent to the location based on this information. While some bootleggers were detained during the raid, others gathered and initiated violence to free the arrested smuggler. The situation escalated, leading to a commotion and the attackers fleeing from the scene.
Legal Actions
A primary report was filed against the three assailants at the local police station following a complaint from the injured ASI. The attackers have been identified, and further investigations are ongoing to apprehend others involved in the incident.
शेखपुरा के नगर परिषद क्षेत्र के पुरनकामा गांव में शराब तस्करी के खिलाफ छापेमारी करने पहुंची उत्पाद विभाग की टीम पर अचानक हमला कर दिया गया। तस्करों और शराबियों ने उत्पाद विभाग के एएसआई सहित 4 पुलिसकर्मी को बुरी तरह से घायल कर दिया। घटना के दौरान छापेमारी टीम पर जमकर पत्थर बाजी की गई। उत्पाद विभाग के एएसआई अनिल कुमार सिंह ,महिला कांस्टेबल चंचला कुमारी ,वाहन चालक विनोद कुमार शर्मा और होम गार्ड जवान योगेंद्र प्रसाद सिंह बुरी तरह घायल हुए। इस घटना में उत्पाद विभाग के प्रभारी ने बताया कि उक्त गांव के एक टोले में बड़े पैमाने पर शराब तस्करी की सूचना मिली थी और छापेमारी के दौरान शराब तस्कर को गिरफ्तार किया गया। उत्पाद की टीम पर हमला करने वाले बदमाशों को चिह्नित किया गया है और उनके खिलाफ कार्रवाई की जा रही है।
