Neelami Process for Bus Stands in Lakhisarai Nagar Parishad
The Lakhisarai Nagar Parishad will conduct an auction for two bus stands which generate the highest revenue after a gap of four years. The Nagar Parishad has issued tenders for this purpose. The auction for Laloo Bus Stand and Ambedkar Bus Stand was last held in 2019-20.
Revenue Collection without Auction
Due to the ongoing pandemic, the Nagar Parishad had awarded the contract for revenue collection of both bus stands to the previous contractor without conducting an auction. The revenue collection for both bus stands is currently being done by the same contractor. Ward Councilors raised this issue in the Nagar Parishad board meetings, following which the Executive Officer immediately issued a tender.
Increased Amount for Auction
Compared to the previous agreement, there has been a 10% increase in the amount for the auction this time. The government revenue for Ambedkar Bus Stand has been set at Rs. 75,33,450, while the bid amount for Laloo Bus Stand is Rs. 75,39,510. The auction process for both bus stands will be completed through postal bids on August 22 at the Nagar Parishad office.
Tender Process Update
The Executive Officer of the Nagar Parishad, Amit Kumar, mentioned that the tender process will be carried out on August 22. The delay in the tender process has rendered the Laloo Bus Stand inactive. The auction process is crucial for the efficient management and revenue generation of these bus stands in Lakhisarai.
