A meeting was held in Aurangabad to discuss fertilizer issues for farmers, focusing on preventing black marketing and ensuring fair prices.

Today, a meeting took place in Aurangabad led by the District Magistrate, Shrikant Shastri. This meeting was focused on the challenges regarding fertilizer availability for farmers. The importance of addressing these issues was highlighted, and strict instructions were given to the sellers to comply with regulations.

Two local MLAs, Trivikram Narayan Singh from Aurangabad and Pramod Singh from Rafiganj, attended the meeting. They raised concerns about the black marketing of fertilizers and urged for immediate action. The District Magistrate responded by instructing the District Agriculture Officer to make fertilizers available at reasonable prices, especially during the Rabi season.

To tackle black marketing and other illegal activities related to fertilizers, regular raids will be conducted on sellers and establishments. The District Agriculture Officer announced the creation of a fertilizer control room at the District Agriculture Office. Farmers can call 06186-469430 for information or to file complaints regarding fertilizers.

The District Officer has ordered that all fertilizer retailers must display the quantity and prices of fertilizers clearly in their shops. They also need to put up the contact number for the fertilizer control room. This initiative aims to enhance transparency and ensure that farmers are informed about available products and prices.

As a next step, the Agriculture Officer will meet with the Railway Station Master at Anugrah Narayan Railway Station to discuss scheduling. This is part of the effort to improve fertilizer distribution and accessibility for local farmers.
