Woman Dies After Falling from Train Door

A woman named Bani Modak (34) died after falling from the door of a train while traveling with her husband and children on the Dehradun Express. The incident occurred on the way from Dehradun to Howrah. It is reported that the woman was sitting on the train door to enjoy the air, as she was feeling hot. However, she fell asleep due to the wind and fell off near Ramnaresh Singh Kurmha halt of the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay-Gaya railway section.

Husband Unaware of Wife’s Death

The woman’s husband, Aritra Modak, was unaware of his wife’s fall and subsequent death. He only realized what had happened after the train stopped at Rafiganj and Guraru. When the train reached Gaya Junction, he got off with the children and informed the Railway Police about his missing wife. They searched every bogie of the train and contacted the railway stations, but could not find her.

Woman’s Body Found by Villagers

The next morning, villagers discovered the woman’s dead body along the railway line. The police were informed and they took the body into custody, sending it to Aurangabad Sadar Hospital for postmortem. The station master was informed about the recovery of the body and the husband was notified about his wife’s death. He arrived at the hospital to identify the body and take it home.

Mother-in-Law Injured in Fight with Daughter-in-Law

In another incident in Bhurkunda village, a fight broke out between a mother-in-law and daughter-in-law over a minor dispute. The mother-in-law, Geeta Devi, asked her son to tie a buffalo, but the daughter-in-law, Rinki Devi, refused. This led to an argument, and Rinki Devi ended up physically assaulting Geeta Devi, breaking two of her teeth. The injured mother-in-law was taken to the hospital with the help of villagers, and the police are currently investigating the case.
