If you take your car out on the roads of Patna and park it everywhere, then be careful. The third eye of the traffic police is now on those who park illegally. Yes, from tomorrow i.e. from 28th August, the CCTV cameras installed on the roads will also challan those people who park their vehicles in no parking. The traffic police has warned people about this.
Strict Action Against Illegal Parking
Traffic SP Puran Kumar Jha has informed that vehicles parked in the no parking zone will be fined through CCTV cameras. The traffic police is taking strong action to make Patna jam-free and has announced that e-challans will be issued against vehicles parked illegally from August 28.
Fine for Violators
Drivers are urged not to park their vehicles in no parking zones and to follow traffic rules. Those caught parking illegally will be fined. The first offense will result in a fine of INR 500, and subsequent offenses will be fined INR 1000-1000 each time. However, if vehicles are parked in areas where parking is not marked, no challan will be issued.
Smart Parking Charges
Smart parking facilities have been set up in various locations in Patna. Four-wheelers will be charged INR 20 for two hours of parking, and an additional INR 20 per hour thereafter. Similarly, bikes and scooters will be charged INR 10 for two hours and INR 10 for every subsequent hour.

Parking zones have been marked at several locations in Patna, including Opposite Vidyut Bhawan, BN College Ashok Rajpath, Near Maruti Showroom at Dakbangla Chauraha, Near PACE & PHED Office, Near Pul Nirman Nigam Office, Near Srikrishna Puri Park, Near Eco Park Opposite Gate 2 & 3, Sahdev Mahato Marg, Mount Carmel School to Patna Women’s College, Maurya Complex, Opposite Maharaja Kameshwar Complex, Boring Road Crossing from Hartali Mor, Opposite Mahavir Mandir, Truck Stand Transport Nagar 15, Rajendranagar Overbridge to Central School, Munna Chowk Upto Kumhrar Toli, SBI Kankarbagh, and Tempo Stand Kankarbagh.
