Empowering Rural Women Through Livelihood Opportunities
Deepak Kumar from Banka district has shown how livelihood opportunities are proving to be a great help for women in rural areas. Livelihood is not only making women self-reliant but also economically empowering them. Women in rural areas are changing their destiny by getting involved in livelihood activities and easily fulfilling their desires, just like Seeta Devi from Purani Rata village in Fulidumar block of Banka district.
Becoming Self-Reliant Through Livelihood
Seeta Devi shared her success story, stating that after her marriage, the financial situation at home was not good initially. However, after joining a livelihood group in 2014, she started saving Rs 10 daily and eventually received a loan of Rs 10,000 through which she purchased a sewing machine. This led to a regular income, and over the years, she invested in various agriculture-related machinery, earning a profit and becoming self-reliant.
Earning Up to 5 Lakhs Annually
Seeta Devi now earns up to 5 lakhs annually through her various agricultural activities. Initially facing difficulties in getting involved in livelihood activities, she now finds it much easier. Her life has completely transformed after joining the livelihood group, and she never imagined such a significant change. With the help of sewing and agricultural machinery, she is earning a good income and providing employment opportunities to others, making life easier for herself and others around her.
बिहार के बांका जिले की फुल्लीडुमर प्रखंड में रहने वाली सीता देवी एक उदाहरण हैं जो जीविका से जुड़कर आत्मनिर्भर बन गई हैं। उन्होंने सिलाई मशीन से शुरुआत करके किसानी उपकरण खरीदकर अब खुद की खेती में उपयोग कर अच्छा मुनाफा कमाने लगी हैं। इससे सालाना उन्हें पांच लाख तक की कमाई हो रही हैं और इससे कई लोगों को रोजगार का भी अवसर मिल रहा है। जीविका ने उनकी जिंदगी में एक नई उम्मीद की किरण जगाई है।
