However, after winning the elections, they often forget to fulfill their promises. But sometimes, the listeners of these speeches start implementing these promises in their own lives. This either leads to a positive change or complete destruction of their lives. A similar story is that of Ramsakha Mahato, who hails from Cheria Bariarpur block in Begusarai district of Bihar. Today, Ramsakha Mahato may be known as a poultry farmer or a political leader in many nearby districts, but it took a lot of struggle to establish this identity.
Ramsakha Mahato has been involved in poultry farming since 2001. Poultry farming has been quite beneficial for him and he claims to earn lakhs of rupees annually from it.
Life changed after listening to Lalu Yadav’s speech. Around 1999, during the time of elections and amidst discussions of the fodder scam in Bihar, the then supremo of the Rashtriya Janata Dal, Lalu Prasad Yadav, in a speech in Patna, promised to provide employment to every Bihari. This statement inspired Ramsakha Mahato to do something. He returned to his village and started arranging loans. After a lot of difficulties, he received a loan of one lakh rupees and started poultry farming with 300 chickens.
Gradually, he started expanding his business. He now operates more than 10 poultry farms. Ramsakha Mahato mentioned that besides earning a good income from poultry farming, he can also provide employment to young people.
Turnover of over 30 lakhs in 50 days. According to Ramsakha Mahato, he currently provides employment to 25 young people in running his poultry farm. The workers here claim to earn up to 18,000 rupees per month. His business involves selling chickens in Khagaria, Lakhisarai, Samastipur, and Begusarai.
Ramsakha Mahato mentioned that he achieves a turnover of over 30 lakhs in 50 days. While he did not mention his earnings, it can be estimated that Ramsakha, who started his business with a bicycle, is now running his business with a Tata Hexa car.
नीरज कुमार, बेगूसराय: जब भी चुनाव आता है तो सियासी भाषण के जरिए लोगों को आत्मनिर्भर बनाने के लिए नेताओं के द्वारा वादे किए जाते हैं. चुनाव जीतने के बाद नेताजी वादा निभाना भूल जाते हैं. लेकिन कभी-कभी भाषण सुनने वाले युवा इन बातों को अपनी जिंदगी में उतारना शुरू कर देते हैं. इसके बाद या तो जिंदगी बदल जाती है या बर्बाद हो जाती है. ऐसी ही एक कहानी है बिहार के बेगूसराय जिला स्थित चेरिया बरियारपुर प्रखंड के रहने वाले रामसखा महतो की है. आज भले ही रामसखा महतो की पहचान आस-पास के कई जिलों में मुर्गा पालक या नेता जी के रूप में है, लेकिन इस पहचान को बनाने के लिए काफी संघर्ष भी करना पड़ा. रामसखा महतो साल 2001 से हीं मुर्गी पालन कर रहे हैं. मुर्गी पालन से काफी फायदा भी हो रहा है. इनके अनुसार मुर्गी पालन से सालाना आय लाखों रुपए में होती है. रामसखा महतो को इसी बात से कुछ करने की प्रेरणा जागी. रामसखा महतो गांव लौटे और कर्ज की व्यवस्था करने लगे. इस दौरान काफी मशक्कत के बाद एक लाख का कर्ज मिला और 300 मुर्गी का पालन शुरू किया. धीरे-धीरे अपने कारोबार को आगे बढ़ाने लगे. अब 10 से ज्यादा मुर्गी फार्म का संचालन कर रहे हैं. रामसखा महतो ने बताया कि मुर्गा पालन कर मोटी आमदनी प्राप्त करने के साथ-साथ युवा लोगों को रोजगार भी दे सकते हैं. 50 दिनों में टर्नओवर 30 लाख से ज्यादारामसखा महतो के मुताबिक मुर्गी फार्म के संचालन में अभी 25 युवाओं को रोजगार दे रख है. यहां काम करने वाले युवाओं का कहना है कि 18 हजार तक हर माह वेतन मिल रहा है. कारोबार में शामिल 7 गाड़ियां खगड़िया, लखीसराय, समस्तीपुर और बेगूसराय में मुर्गी को बेचने का काम करती है. रामसखा महतो ने बताया कि 50 दिनों में 30 लाख से ज्यादा का टर्नओवर करते हैं. कमाई का भले ही जिक्र नहीं किया, लेकिन आप इसी बात से अंदाजा लगा सकते हैं कि साइकिल से कारोबार शुरू करने वाले रामसखा आज महंगी कर टाटा हेक्सा से अपने बिजनेस को चला रहे हैं.
