On 29 January 2026, they conducted a special ticket checking campaign on key trains like Vikramshila Express and Patna-Dumka Express, particularly in the Bhagalpur-Kahalgaon area.

The ticket checking operation was carried out on train number 13032 from Bhagalpur to Kahalgaon and back on train number 15658. To enhance the effectiveness of the checks, a Magistrate Ticket Checking took place at Bhagalpur station. Dilip Chaurasia, the Chief Ticket Inspector, led the team, which included ticket checking staff and Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel, ensuring strict adherence to the rules.

As a result of this campaign, a total of 440 cases of ticketless travel were found, leading to fines amounting to ₹3,39,690. This was the highest revenue collected in a single day for Malda Mandal this year. The ticket checking staff, including Mohd. Rizwan Ashrafi, Subhash Jha, and Supriya Rani, were particularly effective in catching the most offenders, showcasing their dedication and hard work.

The Malda Division is encouraging all passengers to travel with valid tickets. They want to promote safety, discipline, and lawful travel on Indian Railways. This initiative is part of ongoing efforts to ensure a better travel experience for everyone.
