Bhojpur Police Successfully Arrests Criminal with Illegal Weapons

Bhojpur police have successfully arrested a criminal who was planning to carry out a major incident with illegal weapons. The arrest took place in the Dharhara T.O.P area under the Town police station. The information was provided by the SP Parichay Kumar.

Primary Investigation Conducted on Seizure of Illegal Weapons

The arrested individual, Santosh Kumar, is a resident of Hanuman Tola, Dharhara village, with a history of criminal activities. A primary investigation is being conducted on the seizure of illegal weapons. The Nagar Thana police have taken action in this regard.

Police Conducts Raid Based on Secret Information

The police received confidential information that a criminal armed with illegal weapons was planning to carry out a major incident near the Dharhara T.O.P. Based on this information, a team led by the SHO Devaraj Rai was formed, and a raid was conducted. The criminal tried to flee upon seeing the police during the operation but was apprehended with the help of armed forces.

Seizure of Weapons and Past Criminal Record

During the search, a country-made pistol, a bullet, and a mobile phone were seized. The team, including Sub-Inspector Guru Prasad and other officials and constables, participated in the operation. Inspector Devaraj Rai mentioned that the arrested individual, Santosh Kumar, was previously involved in an attempted murder case in September 2019. After spending three years in jail, he was released on bail and was planning to commit crimes again, leading to his recent arrest.
