A young man riding a bike died in a collision with a truck on the Samastipur-Tajpur road near Chandopatti village of Karpurigram police station area of Samastipur district of Bihar on Friday night. At the same time, two women riding the bike are seriously injured.
With the help of local villagers, the injured were admitted to Sadar Hospital for treatment. The deceased has been identified as Nitish Kumar, 19-year-old son of Rajesh Sah, a resident of Bhagwatpur under Sarairanjan police station area.

Relatives told that on Friday evening, Nitish was going to his home from Nanihal in Chandopatti village by sitting on a bike with sister Gudiya Kumari and maternal aunt Munni Devi. On the way, a truck coming from the opposite direction at a high speed hit the bike near the warehouse located in Chandopatti.
After this, with the help of the local villagers, all the three riders on the bike were admitted to Sadar Hospital for treatment in a critical condition. Where after first aid Nitish was referred to PMCH due to his critical condition.

He died on the way late night while being taken to PMCH by ambulance. The deceased was a student of class 12th. Here, the police arrived on the information of the incident and inspected the spot. The police took the body into custody. Police Station President Sanjay Singh said that after the incident, the driver of the accident truck ran away with the vehicle.
