The incident took place in Buddh Vihar Colony of Agamkuan police station area. The robbers, who were on bikes, ambushed the victims just 200 meters from their office. They brandished weapons to instill fear and successfully made away with the money. Despite the victims promptly informing the police, the robbers managed to escape before the authorities arrived at the scene.
The police have launched a massive raid to apprehend the robbers based on the description provided by the victims. The manager and assistant manager of Bharat Financial Inclusion Limited were targeted while they were on their way to deposit the collection money at a nearby bank branch. The City SP Patna East Sandeep Singh confirmed the incident on the police’s Twitter handle. कहा जाता है कि बौद्ध विहार कॉलोनी में स्थित निजी वित्त कंपनी “भारत फाइनेंशियल इंकलूजन लिमिटेड” के प्रबंधक नीतीश कुमार और सहायक प्रबंधक रणजीत कुमार भूतनाथ रोड पर स्थित बैंक ऑफ इंडिया की शाखा में जमा राशि जमा करने जा रहे थे। इसी दौरान, चोरों ने पहले से ही कार्रवाई की हुई स्थान से सशस्त्रों के डर का दिखाव करके दोनों कर्मचारियों से 20 लाख रुपये लूट लिए और घटना को कार्रवाई करने के बाद, वे स्थान से भाग गए।
कहा जाता है कि चोरों की संख्या तीन से चार थी और सभी शस्त्रधारी थे। पटना पूर्व थानेदार संदीप सिंह ने पुलिस के ट्विटर हैंडल पर घटना की पुष्टि की है। वहीं, स्थानीय थानेदार सुधीर कुमार ने घटना की पुष्टि करते हुए वादा किया है कि पूरा मामला जल्द ही उठाया जाएगा। वर्तमान में, पुलिस परिसर में स्थापित सीसीटीवी कैमरों की जांच करके अज्ञात चोरों की पहचान और गिरफ्तारी करने में जुटी हुई है। इस दिनचर्या में लूटपाट के कारण क्षेत्र में हड़कंप मचा हुआ है।
